Skull Croquis
The imagery of skulls makes me feel both invincible and inconsequential. Momento mori, as well as a reminder that no matter how different we may be as people we all have the same skeletal composition beneath our flesh.
The portrayal of the naked female form: as a woman, I love my body and think the female form is beautiful. I’ve always loved drawing our curves and dips and the lines that hold us together.
The Rick Owens’ Kiss Boots: an homage to one of my favourite designers and to the shoes that I say are the only things that didn’t come with me out the womb.
These skull croquis remind me to not take life too seriously. To pursue whatever will feed my spirit, because in the end, we all end up in the same place anyway.
Special shout out to my friend Micah who requested I draw her a skull croquis to be tattooed.
If you would like your own custom skull croquis design to be tatted or even just as an illustration, please contact me.
